History
La Junta Militar de Gobierno, también conocida como Junta Militar o simplemente como Junta de Gobierno, fue un organismo que asumió el poder en Chile mediante el Golpe de Estado del 11 de septiembre de 1973. Fue integrada por los comandantes en jefe del Ejército, la Armada y la Fuerza Aérea y por el General Director de Carabineros. Primero desempeñó el «mando supremo de la nación» y, posteriormente, ejerció solo las funciones constituyente y legislativa. Se mantuvo en funciones hasta el 11 de marzo de 1990
