Desde el mismo 11 de Septiembre, algunos prisioneros fueron conducidos al Buque Escuela Esmeralda. Allí sufrieron torturas hombres y mujeres por igual. Fueron golpeados, no-alimentados, no se les permitía ir al baño, entre otro tipo de vejámenes.
