Estudiante 19 años y militante socialista, fue detenido junto a su cónyuge Karin Reimer Carrasco, por efectivos de la DINA, el 30 de abril de 1977 en la ciudad de San Fernando. Ambos cónyuges fueron trasladados a Santiago, siendo recluidos en un recinto secreto posiblemente el cuartel de la ex Dina de calle Borgoño donde fue torturado, hasta la actualidad se desconoce su paradero.
